For 25 years, RICHARD LORMAND has been active on the international film festival circuit as a publicist, administrator or journalist.

A former Reuter journalist in New York, Lormand has been working in film publicity for over 15 years, specializing in international launches at the Berlin, Cannes and Venice festivals. Lormand has also been part of the production teams of Amos Gitai's DISENGAGEMENT, starring Juliette Binoche, Lee Isaac Chung's LUCKY LIFE and three films by Mitchell Lichtenstein, the cult favorite TEETH and HAPPY TEARS, starring Parker Posey and Demi Moore, and ANGELICA, starring Jena Malone and Janet McTeer.

Born and raised in Lafayette, Louisiana, Lormand is a former employee of the Cannes Film Festival (France), Taormina Film Festival (Italy), Torino Film Festival (Italy) and the Viennale/Vienna Film Festival (Austria). Lormand also wrote and directed the 1994 award-winning short TI-BOY'S WIFE/LA FEMME DE TI-BOY (Clermont-Ferrand, Locarno, Torino).
