SYNOPSIS

Antoine arrives in Tangiers on business, but the secret goal of his trip is to find Cécile, for whom he still holds a silent passion although he has not had contact with her in over 30 years. Cécile now lives a comfortable life with husband Nathan. Their adult son, Sami, who lives in Paris, comes for a visit, bringing along his companion Nadia and her small son. Nadia faces a violent combat with her old demons as she struggles to adjust to breaking away from her twin sister Aicha. Sami tries to reconcile his attraction for Bilal and his tender relationship with Nadia. Meanwhile, revenant Antoine, locked within his personal obsession, brandishes his amorous demands toward Cécile. What Cécile encounters at the heart of this little holiday world is not appeasement but agitation and calling into question. What she thought of as close becomes foreign to her... From the director of LES ÉGARÉS, LOIN, LES ROSEAUX SAUVAGES ... The fourth collaboration between Téchiné and Deneuve (after LES VOLEURS, MA SAISON PRÉFÉRÉE, LE LIEU DU CRIME) ... The first time Deneuve and Depardieu appear together on screen since 1988’s DRÔLE D’ENDROIT POUR UNE RENCONTRE and 1980’s LE DERNIER METRO.
